John first began working as an automation programmer and operator at Curve Theatre and has since worked on national tours, in the West End and international arena touring.  Since 2015 he has worked as a freelance specialist involved with installation, rigging, commissioning, programming and operation of a wide range of automation equipment, including performer flying for several production companies.
